85 days. Oblong shape with a light green rind with dark stripes. Fine red flesh has a firm texture and a sweet flavor. 30-40 lbs size.
 
Direct sowing is recommended, but to get a head start you can start watermelon indoors 3-4 weeks before the last frost in individual biodegradable pots indoors. Sow 2-3 seeds per pot, 1" deep, thinning to 1 per pot when they reach 2".
Direct sow seeds 3 inches apart in groups of 4-6 in raised hills, 1" deep, 5-7 ft apart all directions.Thin to 2 or 3 strongest seedlings in each group when they are 1-2 inches high
 
 
 
Average seed packet about 10 seeds. Typically you want about 5 plants per person.
