Prize Head Lettuce seed Missouri Only

47 days. Leaf lettuce. Bright green leaves with a reddish brown edge and a beautiful green interior. Plants are large with broad crumbled, well frilled leaves. Stays crisp and tender over a longer period then most. It is a cool weather crop and grows best at temperatures of 60-65°F, but grows from about 45-75 degrees. For leaf lettuces, you can harvest the entire plant or only the outer leaves as needed. Harvest in the morning.
 
Sow seeds 2-3″ apart, rows 12–18″ apart, 1/8″ deep. Can thin to 8-10".
 
Average seed packet about 50 seeds. Typically you want about 15-20 plants per person.
